Molly refused to attend the GP appointment on Monday night (17th February) so I went and represented Molly on her behalf. This GP said she would arrange for Molly to see her usual GP, the appointment came through via text for 12th March. She said she would also contact the Gastroenterology dept reference the referral for the Gastric Delay Study.

Mollys last attempt to have the Gastric Delay Study was reported as “no food stasis in her stomach” which is WRONG, how can they report that when she didn’t have the imaging taken?

I have liaised with the Hospital Learning Disability Nurse, she will also contact the Gastroenterology dept on Mollys behalf.

Today I have raised a formal complaint to the PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison service) I have requested a face to face meeting with the lead consultant.

I saw Molly earlier in B&M and she had told Gemma “I am sick of feeling crap”. The truth is, it’s been 22 month since the GI bleed and she is still being let down. if they damaged her vagus nerve during the surgery that can also cause the stomach to have delayed emptying, the food then rots and becomes fermented which then leads to bloating, nausea and vomiting with abdominal pain.

Exasperated!

Luv C
