I am speaking weekly with Molly’s clinician, he called today to discuss her previous week. He decided to increase the lamotrigine by 25mg morning only, change the lorazepam from 3mg to 2mg am with 1mg at midday and 1mg for PRN.

I got upset, the strain is taking its toll….but we need stay strong, focused and take things slowly and also keep checking on her tolerance levels in relation to all the medication changes.

I called to see her tonight she was in her room, I went in positive and asked for a hug and she voluntarily gave me one 🫂 she melted a bit and then said she was going down stairs, noticed the recycling and we were off …. Outside we go as she separated the tins, plastic and cardboard, lots of praise and she smiled😊.

A little hyper I thought, chatty, jumping from one thing to another, very repetitive and a huge contrast from yesterdays presentation. Another hug and smile before I left, phew… It felt good to leave her in better spirits I can tell you!

She has remained downstairs engaged for the rest of the evening watching the Soaps and is now back in bed.

Hoping for a restful nights sleep tonight.
